What does the animations mean when you pull in the banners? I know there’s a Luffy, then gear 2 Luffy, then gear 4 Luffy. There’s also toadskii always rambling about the shooting stars and the all the animations whenever he pulls. What is the correlation between all these animations? Do they mean the multi is going to be good?

I''m struggling to decide which new legend to pull for. I've already got a pretty good set of legends (roger/oden/wanks/shanks crew).

SHv2 seem like the better captain but they seem useable as a FC whereas roger/wb seem like the better sub and hence more valuable to own.

Depends on what units you have really. If you’re a newer player, SH Crew V2 is a must have since team building with him is easy. Whereas you’d need to have some really good Slasher/Striker subs to actually make Rogerbeard shine

Though theres also the choice of aiming for both, coz Rogerbeard is actually a really amazing sub for a SH Crew Captained team

Yes, it is New banners with Roger/WB and Luffy/strawhats are super good

Luffy and strawhats is probably best unit for beginners due to the versatility but WB/Roger do BIG damage if you have lots of strikers and slashers

Is there a tier list for potential abilities?

Barrier pierce is honestly possibly #1 after it got buffed a while ago.

Hunger is also extremely good but also extremely situational.

Double special is essential for some units and pointless on others.

Early special is rarely actually relevant, like units like arena Caesar use it but that’s still hardly ever relevant.

Crit is pretty pointless.

Enraged was slightly improved in the buff a while ago but still mostly useless.

Anti heal is weirdly common for something where the debuff is either very uncommon or 99 turns

Same thing for slot bind, like some scenarios it’s absolutely necessary but also a lot where it’s not relevant. Still good to have though.

All \% damage reductions are useless except that like 1 team you use 1 time that expects to get beat up a lot on like a forest or something and you’re so desperate not to get hit to death that you actually intentionally choose supports that reduce damage as well.

Last tap is of course extremely good on everybody except maybe kid (purely because some teams you can put him on would get higher than 4.5x chain so it’s kinda a debuff then)

Pinch healing is always good to have just because it can save you, some teams actually need it to beat stuff because they stall.

Ship bind is super rare to be relevant but when it is it’s very nice to have.

Fear resist is basically an essential if the unit removes special bind or re-charges special after they’ve been rewound. Outside of those units though it generally doesn’t matter.

The other ones are unique to like 3 units at most each so they’re not really relevant enough to cover.

This is obviously not in order but I’d say barrier pierce, fear (on relevant units), last tap, hunger, and double special (on relevant units) are the best ones.

I just have a quick question I kept forgetting to ask since the update, but wasn't materials like manuals and exp cards and stuff supposed to be removed from people's character lists? I was looking forward to extra box space after the update, only to basically not have any extra box space. Are we supposed to sell them like we did for cotton candy? Or did I misunderstand and that's not how it works? I tried looking at the notice for an explanation but it was unhelpfully vague.

Here’s a visual I made like a year or 2 ago, I killed more than 1 on turn one which generall isn’t actually needed as mostly those fodder guys only hit for like 6k at max but I do think it’s generally best to kill the fodder guys by cooldown order because sometimes they have effects. For turtles you can almost always just hit once with a unit with 4 combo and get 2+ turns stalled on each turtle.

No that’s just their “we need an end date probably for like programming reasons or whatever but it’s not gonna expire” date. They did it a couple years ago with garp challenges as well. One thing that is a big hint to it not expiring probably anytime is that even if you ranked #1 on every single event so far you would not be able to get all bounty cms done.

they only gave us 1 every time a last tap unit got introduced (1 for the onigashima last tap units 1 for Yamato debut and 1 for this event) so everyone who participated in those events should only have a max of 3

if you missed the events you missed the tablets there is no other way to get those tablets so if you want to max out that last type ability you gonna need to use dupes

Concerning the legends and content race it's because of the sync that we had recently with the jp server also V1 Kaido isn't for hard contents but is still very good on easy contents

Did the Global versions of Luffy and Ace (#1245 and #1247) ever get the Japan Captain ability? I just checked mine and they dont have the captain abilities that are described in the Database but a way weaker version of it.

If you don’t plan on playing any of those modes, don’t bother coming back. Those are pretty much all of the game and without them teambuilding for garp challenges and arena is gonna be quite hard.

what damage is and isn't considered in the status box when hovering on units in missions?
(i believe the type effectiveness on the enemy unit isn't considered, i.e damage from DEX and STR unit will be nearly same on a QCK enemy)

It's considered only base damage, base atk boost, atk boost, and maybe slot boost. Type effectivness is not considered because it depends on which dnemy you attack and also any chain related boost, because they also depend on your tap timing

Does going for x3 in blitz battles triple the amount of points you get? or does it only triple the items but not the points?

2xStamina only stops duplication of drops by units, so it would be bad for the current Garp or chopper event (double stamina isn't even possible for them)

Before this banner NY banner I was chasing one of Sabo/Ace or Toki I'm on step 12 and haven't pulled either, is it worth doing 2/3 steps on the banner before I move to the NY, bear in mind I will be relying on the f2p gems that come out this month and currently at 0.

this sugo in terms of steps is a horrible mess. the one thing carrying this sugo are the new legends and it being a super sugo. now if you have a good box already it wouldnt be a stupid move to skip this sugo honestly. we ve seen them do way better sugo structures than this.

New player here, coming from Dokkan Battle, started 3 days ago and my box is already full thanks to the beginner banner and Chopperman 10x PSY Strawhats and other things

Reading around, most of what I saw are people addressing Legends/6* and not much info on what to do with dupes of lower quality characters (I'm a collector, so I enjoy having one of each unit, but not the whole evolution chain, so just one Saber Navy unit at the highest evo)

My understanding was; If it has the same attack name, Evolve a unit, feed whatever dupes you have into it to raise Special, I have not paid attention to LBs but I keep the extra dupes when Special is Maxed (Biggest issue is the PSY Strawhats and what to do with them really)

Should I have instead bother(ed) with Max LBing a unit (if it has an LB) and THEN feed in the dupes? For that Potential Ability I keep hearing about, and just flood my box with that unit until LB'd?

I'm not paying attention or care if a unit is a SoggyFest or a Ultra Rare etc
Just looking for a basic concept to follow for non-Legend units

You should definetely not keep units from story mode like the Saber Navy one, you will only ever use Vivi for her support if you are lucky to get her. Trust me, I thought that way at first but there are so many useless units there and they drop easily so they fill up your box in no time and your box space is very valuable. If you care about collecting units you can always check your character log in options, you will see all the units you ever unlocked there. Also do not expect that you will ever have all the characters so do not stress about it, the sooner you learn that the better. The ones you should collect are legends and RRs you get from pulling. You can also fill your collection by using friend points, but now that there is not a single unit there worth keeping, there are just a few with not very good supports that you can easily play without.

If you mean GC 1-15 then both aren’t required really. Just a decent V1 Kaido or the new Kaido/Lead Performers team is enough to clear them

For the 10 and 13 star monthly GCs, its possible to clear them without being rainbowed if you have the right characters for the job

Though for both cases, Id say max limit breaking the characters is a minimum requirement (maybe its possible without Limit break but I haven’t tried)

This is my box. I did roll Kaido and Lead Performers and Kureha & Hiriluk after I screenshot my entire box.

I'm attempting to clear Clash! Big Mom and just trying to get into the game all together.
What's the best team I can create for regular content and to defeat CLash! Big Mom?
I do like Vs Big Mom since I can always heal even with perfects and I'm still learning how to play the game better.

Kaido VS Big Mom is indeed one of your best captains available. Ace VS Akainu are amazing too but somewhat less beginner-friendly.

As for clash Big Mom (https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePieceTC/wiki/raidboss/bigmom/), the enemies have relatively low HP (compared to more recent content), but there are some tricky mechanics, mostly the fact that your captains' specials get rewinded, and that the boss revives, changing color and giving the entire crew 99 turns of slot bind.

I'm glad Kaido Vs Big Mom is my best captain since it's my favorite! XD I'm not that much of a beginner, but I have never actively played this game only done log ins and stuff, so I guess I could be a beginner. Lol.

Since a lot of the status elements have 99 turns effect, is it completely impossible to remove them?

To add to the other comments, you can technically wait out all 99 turns with like a zombie team or something but outside of like kizuna superbosses it’s definitely not worth it.

Slot bind can be removed for some units. Quite few legends have Slot Bind Removal Potential Abilities that completely removes slot bind on themselves, but they need to have max Potential Ability for that. There's also Luffy/Law that can get rid of slot bind with their swap effect.

The others 99 turns effects can't really be removed. (Well, all effects are removable with Legend Brook, who allows you to die and revive, but I'm not too familiar with using him). Reduced healing means you should "simply" avoid taking too much damage, ship bind means your attack is divided by 1.5x, it's not that much, and burn can be somewhat tricky.

The main mechanic you need to deal with is Stage 4 where the specials of your captains get completely rewinded. The color of the boss should also be a concern, since it's QCK then STR, having DEX and QCK units would be nice for color affinity. Here are the strategies I see:

-Building a team that does not rely on your captain's specials. I did it with Bullet as captain, and he also helps with the color affinity

-Using a captain that resists special rewind with their captain ability. There are only Halloween Ace or VS Ace

-Using Toki as a Friend captain to use her special to prevent your captain's special to be rewinded

-Using Legends Queen and King, as their specials can be auto-triggered by their captain ability, and they have the right colors. You don't have them so it's not really relevant

-Using Kaido/Lead Perfomers. It clearly seems the easiest solution. Not only will their captain ability deal 90% of the damage necessary to clear the quest, their super swap also allows to charge their special. I couldn't find much use for this part of their super swap when I learned about the unit, but for this quest it seems ideal.

The only issue with part 1 is the debut super legends are at .25 rather than the normal .5, parts 2 and 3 are at .5

Yeah the base is 300 so 100 in each stat and it can go up to 600 so 200 in each stat via upgrading the cotton candy facility

I stopped playing the game in April, after I lost my account with around 100 legends.

I never retrieved the account before because the game got me tired, with the dumbness of constant uncontrolled systematic powercreep + rat race contents. People have lives, games should take only a very little part of our days, as simple stress reliever. They should not become unsustainable burden.

I came back out of my love for One Piece and recovered the account from Bandai. I got Newgate and Roger along others new legends.

I have few question rooting around the same theme:

Is the game still a rat race, powercreep and stressful as used to be? Can the game be played at calmer pace, without pulling except f2p twice a year? What the average time daily needed would be? In comparison with an open world Genshin Impact experience is the fun worthless?

no. You can now feed dupes to units even before limit break them. The power is locked until you actually limit break him.

Does anyone know what happened to my Main story stages? So I know I did all the stages from Skypiea to Dressrosa but for some reason it's like I never done it. Like when I press the log pose the stages are like 0 out of how much chapters there are on the islands. I also remember doing a few stages of the first island of Dressrosa but now it's 0/12 for some reason. I tried completing one of the islands but I don't get the gem rewards.

No idea what to go for at the moment. I've got 6* Jack for EXP farming, noticed that he has a 6+ now, but couldn't find where his skulls are.

Any of the older legends still viable?

Got some newer legends from my free pulls:

Soba Sanji, Luffytaro/Zorojuro, Sugar, Big Mom+Zeus+Prome, Vivi/Rebecca, Vivi/Rebecca Christmas edition? , Pudding and Hawkins.

Looks like the new Meta is Roger, Roger/WB, Luffy+SH, Oden.

Old legends have uses, PvP is probably the current biggest. Allegedly the upcoming mode will make them useful. Some of them just have their best use as supports.

Out of those legends sobamask, sugar, and probably v1 and v2 vivibecca are most useful. V2 big mom may see niche use in kizuna, Luffy/Zoro could maybe see use on like a kaido vs big mom team, and pudding has pretty niche use but shouldn’t ever have her spot replaced in some teams because of her buff saving. Sobamask and sugar are the ones out of those I definitely use most (though I don’t have v2 vivibecca).

The meta is kinda just whatever legend they released recently because the way the game likes to go is: to release legend, release point farm event made for new legends with legend batch boosted, release like tm where new batch is relevant, release arena or raid where new batch is relevant, release kizuna where new batch is relevant with one of the colors, and back to a new legend with content made for it specifically. Like the new legends are strong and all and will probably be usable for upcoming stuff for a while but the meta just changes every month in this game except like PvP which has more gradualish changes. Thigh yeah Roger is definitely really good, oden is alright and it seems his 6+ is definitely good, and the other 2 brand new legends are likely very good but they’re too new to be sure.

Depends of what you already have. Aim for the new Strawhat crew (part 3, 1st Jan) and the new wb/roger after (part 2). If you manage to pull both, look at the units in each banner and decide where to pull OR save for the next sugo (should be TM sugo with new koala and new croco)

You’ve got like 2 days to farm wapol, do it as much as you can ideally with double chopper legend or whatever. Also I think the daily quest today was cc as well for the double chopper captain. Also use double chopper for any ship islands you still have left to do. Outside of that kizuna is probably your biggest source of cc.

The only reason to pull on the ny sugo after getting all the super exclusives is if you want dupes of them to level up their final tap. Other than that, merge is better in every way.

Got lucky with the pull and got both Straw hat and Whitebeard/Roger and still have 800 gems left. Should I push my luck and pull for final tap dupe or wait until next sugo? Hi All - Happy New Year! I was going to re-roll for Roger today after a few years out and thought I might as well start the one on my phone before switching to an emulator on PC. I pulled the New Strawhat Crew and given I'm seeing it's a top unit, am now reluctant to reroll.

My first question is, should I reroll this box I've pulled for Roger? Link

Secondly, if not which units would you immediately focus on acquiring? I'm going to follow the beginners road map, but would appreciate any suggestions on units that would complement mine well.

Lastly, I want to buy some gems to try and initially help out my team and was wondering which packs offer the best value for money?

So I got lucky and pulled the Final Tap Strawhats, but am confused on how to level the tap ability. Can it only be done by using dupes? If so, fuck me for using 8 multies to get Roger & Whitebeard. But I also read that there are tablets for the Tap Ability, where do I get them? And when should I use them? Are there events that guarantee an upgrade? I tried maxing the other two abilities using 5 tablets each, but only got one level for one of them.

You can level up their last tap through dupes and tablets, You get last tap tablets through event rewards (we should get one tommorow i think). I'd advise using them when you're close to last tap lvl5. There are no events that guarantee a last tap upgrade (or at least i don't remember one) But a dupe can guarantee you a last tap upgrade (as you choose which ability to upgrade) and the only last tap tablets that we've got guarantee an upgrade.
