Them saying you can skip Luffy Sanji if you have Gol D Roger is about the fact that Gold D Roger is such a good unit you don’t necessarily need Luffy Sanji to clear content in the near future. with that out of the way Luffy Sanji will probably be our anniversary batch and the Sugo might be really good depending on what units are pullable and what units you are missing

next update removes colo and brings library. in there you get 200points daily to unlock content. (ae colo hardest stamina is 100points for an hour of farming). all colo and all raid units are in there. the last section is "special" content like raid bullet, dressrosa event rebecca and diamante and so on. so no worry, youll get it soon enough.

you cant refresh the points. however 1h with the new 3x stamina/reward is enough for most units id say. you just get 200 every day (non stackable). and they dont rotate no. its literally every (or most except said bullet, ussop whatever) raid and colo unit. the colo units even have 2-3 variations each so you can still farm the old first clear rewards of colo. in the screenshot i scrolled completely down to the special tab. above are the weakest colo unit variations.

Edit: some really really really bad units arent colo anymore tho. you can pull them in the friendpoint sugo tho. the ones without lb or even 5star version as example http://imgur.com/gallery/AClHn7T

Can someone explain to me why Legend V2 Doflamingo isn’t viable anymore ? As I was recommended to not get him from January’s medal legend exchange list on Toadskii’s vid ?

Because Normal Attack Only reduces every damage dealt by ANY special to 1, aside from Roger's special damage that explicitly ignores the debuff, and is very common nowadays.

Furthermore, you'll most likely find a lot of barriers or threshold nowadays, so V2 Doffy's utility falls down a lot.

You can somehow use him pairing him with V1 6+ Law, so to ignore every defensive buff on opponents,, but NAO would still prevent you from dealing damage. And having two characters specifically for that gimmick is rarely viable nowadays anyway.

Nah, provided there's no NAO and no black buff clear (unless Roger captain), V2 Doffy is perfectly viable.

Yes, exactly that. When one can use him, he shines and he's pretty fun. But I haven't had the chance to use him, as of late.

Also, he, alongside V2 Kata, is probably the original reason for the NAO.

For Pirate Rumble, if my defense team loses, do I lose points? If so, why do people not recommend using op slasher or int teams if losing defense makes you lose points?

You don't lose points but you only gain points if people attack you and they lose. Nobody attacks the OP teams, unless they have an OP team themselves.

No, it wont proc if you use TM big mom. You can use legend pudding to store the 3x orb boost and then you can get the 3x attack and 3x orb boost

Now that they updated it, it’s actually higher difficulty colo because higher difficulty ones drop +3 candies. I believe double chopper on a 30 stam chaos colo is the most efficient way though I could be wrong on parts of that.

if you dont NEED it to clear content, none yet. literally a waste of lb mats. if you sit on 999x of every mat, go for it tho. anything that gets cd reduction is good in general.

Yes there's special sugos every once in a while with TM RRs available.

But those are really rare, for example on global we had one sugo with all TM RRs and some other rare special units available once like a year ago or so.

And one sugo had a few available, I remember getting TM RR Robin from it.

That's it as far as I remember, so those units are definitely very rare.

Hi guya so not played optc in properly in like 3/4 years, so ive played 2/3 days to try and get to grips how to play the game again/buidling up rainbow gems and i’m completely lost hahah.

Its not necessary but I'd recommend you rerolling for Roger. He is a "super" sugofest exclusive, that means he won't be available in the regular sugos in the future. (We don't know when the next super sugofest will happen) Roger is probably the best unit in GLB right now, he is also new player friendly and can carry you through most of the content. You seem to have a pretty low P-LVL and not that many f2p thats why I suggested that.

If you don't want to reroll, it shouldn't be much of a problem Shanks Crew arguably is the 2nd best legend after Roger. Shanks Crew is a rainbow captain meaning you don't have a crew restriction when building teams. Maybe you can pair them up with a friend roger for orbs and the ATK boost, you can use the OG Raid Doflamingo for the orb boost and the rest of the crew spots can be used for utility or more damage boosters for minibosses.

You seem to be missing a lot of the f2p units (its normal considering you haven't played the game in 3/4 years). From the Treasure Map (TM) shop you can get very good units with the Treasure Tickets you earn from the TM. Here is the TM Unit Ranking, it can help you a lot when choosing which TM unit to get.

Your priority should be getting the useful f2p units, there should be a ranking for Raid and Colo units made by Toadskii on his YouTube channel, I'd recommend checking them out.

Don't worry if you can't beat the late game content straight away, even though Shanks Crew is one of the best legends, you still need good subs to make most out of Shanks Crew (both RR and F2P). Just play the game at your pace, it should get a lot easier when you get used to the game again.

Reroll question,

So trying to get Roger and the best units possible, not played in years and want to make sure im getting the best units possible.

So off the bat im getting luffy/law through the 96.2 mb method

Then when i gather my gems off the mail when i start, i get roughly 120ish so i pull twice on Rogers banner and obviously if i dont pull him i restart.

Been told i should hope for crew shanks and a version or rayleigh aswell as roger, even though hard

Should i do anything differently, ie push for 150 gems through missions (3 pulls) or look for certain units.

I recommend only pushing if you got an account close to your goal. The 4th pull is 1 gem, btw. You should also consider looking for V3 Law, works well with Roger.

In general I’d say to just think of it as the unit that’s out being the only one that exists. So at any point the effects of captain, ship, specials affect whichever form of the dual unit (either character or combined). Only exception to that I can think of is support, as they apply no matter which unit is out.

Yeah when you swap to non psy you lose the extra 1.1x boost. When you swap again to full psy you get the 1.1x back.

To add to GoldFishPony's answer, the Blow Away mechanic is a double edged sword anyway. If your team is using some AOE damage, you want the enemy team as packed together as possible so Blowing Away is a bad idea. On the other hand it can be useful if the enemy has a strong small AOE heal.

I use Zoro v2 6+ and he works like a charm in an aoe dmg slasher team. By the time the specials are ready, all are pushed into the back of enemy field. Its only a bad idea if you have 1 unit with blow back, since only 1 or 2 enemies get pushed back. If its a buff for your whole team like Zoro, chances are literally almost 0 that enemies are spread once my specials launch. imo its a really good boost in the right teams.

go to extra island, to the tab "event" and there are the clashes. Today and i think tomorrow aswell they are not available on global, you probably have to wait until monday for them to return. Clear any of them (monster chopper for example is an easy one) and you cleared the quest

Hi. I'm looking for advice over the current sugo.

I Just did my 16th pull on P1 (0 multis on P2) and now I have all the legends there, except Roger. Here's my situation on both parts: Legends missing on World Cruise Sugo

Now with that on mind, do you think I should:

1. Keep pulling on Roger because, well, it's Roger.
2. Start pulling on P2, more and better legends available.
3. Save for BM vs Kaido or Anni (if it's anni good, ha)

I'd love any advice regarding this matter, e.g. if Roger is really worth it, if Oden is underrated (which I personally don't think he is) and such. Thanks for your time!

How f2p friendly is this game? I appreciate a genuine answer and not a generic "you can make everything work" reply. For a point of reference I'd consider Arknights to be very f2p and ffbe as not at all. I've been trying to get into this game for the past and it seems like the tier list completely changes everytime I check. Also is there an updated reroll guide?

I've been entirely F2P for 2 years and am only missing 6 out of the 100+ legends available on global. It is extremely F2P friendly, just gotta stick with the game for a bit and go at your own pace. Save your gems and spend intelligently. The pinned comment has a reroll guide for new players. Ignore tier lists for the most part, they're entirely subjective. If you're gonna reroll on a banner, roll on the "World Cruise: Super Sugo Fest" banner and look for Gol D. Roger. With him and the free Snakeman Luffy you get from the strawhat banner you'll likely be able to clear almost all early-to-midgame content

As far as Arknights go, IIRC you get just over 2 multis worth of currency every month. You can add yellow certs for headhunting passes, maybe you get up to 3 multis worth of currency every month F2P, without counting farming orundum.

Arknights effective 6* rate is approximately 2.8% counting pity, so about 1.4% rate for a solo rate up banner and 0.7% rate for a standard banner. Also about. For limited banners like W and Weedy, they'll have an effective 1% rate.

You can check normalized rates for some OPTC banners here, counting step ups just like how I counted Arknights pity above. Now OPTC uses a 11 pull multi for the price of 10 system, so for simplicity you can multiply all the rates by about 1.1x

In many of the Sugos we've had recently, the main banner unit goes up to somewhere in the range of 0.8% to 1%. Multiplying by 1.1 and we roughly average in the 0.9% to 1.1% range. So our rates are roughly about the same at the end of the day... but...

Every month, you can get approx 400 gems or roughly 8 multipulls worth (without discounts), or about 10.67 multipulls worth (counting the "free" 4th multis). At the very least, you get more than 3 times the currency in OPTC compared to Arknights. However, we do have a lot more banners as well.

F2P wise tho, you'd typically aim for the big banners that happen every now and then, so pulling power wise, you should be getting way more new units in OPTC than Arknights. We also get guaranteed 6* tickets handed out like candy. For a typical F2P player who farms, you'd probably get like 3-5 6* tickets a month.

As far as powercreep goes, regarding your comment about Tier lists, almost every 6* released in OPTC in the past year, past 2 years are still good. Meanwhile in Arknights, well, it hasn't even been 2 years since it's release yet. Ofc OPTC has its own share of units that aren't really that good, like V3 Rayleigh, or say Skadi in Arknights or half the 5* pool, but powercreep wise units released since before Arknights even came out on CN are still relevant.

I wouldn't say you'd have anything to worry about in terms of being F2P and getting powercrept out of control. Most F2P players (who farm, not just casual) in OPTC honestly end up owning like 80%, 90% of 6*'s in the game.

Note: I'm not shitting on Arknights or anything, I like the game too. This is all comparison since you mentioned you're familiar with Arknights.

There are 2 routes. The i copy good shit of others without knowing why its good, (and then complain why the meta is all the same), or the i wanna-understand-mechanics route.

for the first route: google asianguys optc and watch his pvp vids, or just watch leaderboards to get an idea what units are played a lot. (be aware, the teams you see are def tho, that doesnt mean the units are good for attacking)

1- theres a daily hime turtle island. You can do that once a day. It gives one of each color. (Use friend buggy) 2- friend point pulls. 3- new manual book islands have high rate of dropping bronze lobsters(33.3k exp) sadly. You can try those and get skill books to time to time. 4- kizuna and TM events give decent amount of lobsters. 5- chopperman missions. You can search subreddit for translation. Fidealist translated them.

I have been searching YouTube over for the past week and tweaked a bit corresponding with my box.

so I guess just search YouTube and there's plenty of videos with the supposed mentioned legends of yours. For example bullet team easily clears all STR variations. Shanks crew for qck psy with or without Roger FC. FC Kaido all Dex and V1 6+ katakuri for all INT variations. Just change the subs in according to your box.

So are you doing color teams because you want to or because it’s an easier starting point? You totally can make teams from that but some units work a lot better based on class than based on color. Because you’re only sharing legends, you’ll have to fill up the extra spaces in your box on your own with like utility or a boost the legends don’t provide.

Str:

Snakeman v2 | snakeman v2

Super Sabo | v3 Akainu

Blank | blank

Snakeman will provide matching orbs (not block matching though, maybe make one of the blanks a block matcher), orb boost, and super typing, Sabo provides color affinity, chain boost, and super type requirement fulfillment (so if you sub him out make sure to use another character that works for snakeman), and Akainu gives attack boost, def down, and def down conditional. You cover most boosts with these 3 units, supertype snakeman either in a different turn than you would use Akainu or use Akainu first because akainu’s attack boost is a bit better. This should ideally destroy dex enemies but everybody else to a decently lower extent. For blanks I’d recommend block matchers or utility. Examples of block matchers would be raid arlong, raid kuma, raid ace, raid shiki, or indirectly raid Ray. For all of them I’d recommend using snakeman’s special and akainu’s before theirs as all of them boost orb or attack but notably weaker than the legends. There’s a lot of utility so that would constantly change, but usohachi is probably a safe bet.

Dex:

V2 Jinbe?

Honestly you don’t have a good set up for dex nami can do some boosts and Jinbe can boost attack but Jinbe has his annoying orb requirement for his attack and Nami’s 3.75x boost isn’t very impressive, you’d need a lot of non-legend support to make this work better. F2p units that could theoretically help would be tm Sabo for conditional and matching for cerebral, raid cracker for matching, raid judge for better color affinity, tm shanks for basically guaranteed matching and a bit more damage, colo doffy/trebol or tm viola/Rebecca for chain lock, dex raid croc for the chain start and matching, raid sobamask for chain boost and some matching, or tm Luffy for utility and orb boost.

Qck:

Sugar | sugar

Sobamask | 3 blanks

So while this also lacks in total units, it’s much better than the dex team. Don’t use sugar until the boss though and use her last. Sobamask is a great attack and guaranteed matching (as long as you limit break him, without limit break he’s much less useful, being a 2.5x attack all matching w/ lb or 1.75x just tnd orb guaranteed w/o lb). Other recommendations would be orb boosters, color affinity, chain boost (not lock so shanks crew wouldn’t be ideal), conditionals, or utility. I didn’t use carrot because sugar and sobamask aren’t boosted by carrot, ideally you can use a f2p one or rr one of these like hannyabal/magellan for color affinity, shanks/mihawk for conditional (and utility, though hp needs to be less than 50\% for conditional), or colo magellan for conditional. Make sure to start off with sobamask, use 3 other specials, use sobamask again, then use sugar and toy-ify everybody, then use sugar supertype, then just tap.

Psy:

Shanks crew | shanks crew

V3 law | chopper

Maybe hoshi

This one should be pretty good though an attack booster would be a great addition. Shanks crew for chain lock and captain damage, law for orb boost and maybe orb matching (probably use shanks special before law), chopper for utility, and maybe hoshi for orb matching. Other additions would be color affinity, conditional, and attack boost (hoshi is probably easiest to sub out because they mostly have matching on their own with shanks swap and law). Luffy/boa could work for guaranteed matching and color affinity (they’ll take some months to max though), psy raid Sabo for color affinity, Coby/helmeppo for attack, and I dunno maybe pirate festival Zoro for conditional. For special order it won’t matter most of the time but it depends on if you want to put all damage on one unit or all, if you want all damage then use shanks special before law, if you want damage focused on one unit (like if you put stampede Luffy on there) then you can use law before shanks (if planning on using law first, then a chain booster would be a nice addition).

Int:

Blackbeard | Blackbeard

Maybe v1 + kata

Now I chose blackbeard over v3 kata purely because I think Blackbeard is a way more interesting unit. For this team make sure to use blackbeard’s special and captain as much as you can, use his special at least 2 times before the boss so stall and get hit as much as possible. Kata might be there for like the additional damage thing, that’s kinda it. For this I might recommend tm boa for conditional (use her after Blackbeard twice because he should have an int orb, she also needs her double special maxed), maybe legend pudding purely for block matching, Luffy/boa for color affinity (hannyabal/magellan also work), and maybe a chain booster/locker like tm Rebecca/viola.

So those are color ideas, obviously they’re good against the relevant colors, probably need changing for harder stuff because the utility planning was admittedly lazy because it changes so much.

I don’t really want to go through other overall ideas but maybe for a luffy/Zoro

Sobamask

I mean there’s not too much thought in this team, but it’s got orb boost, chain lock, attack, and guaranteed wano orbs on everybody. Just add whatever slasher/free spirit units you think would fit and don’t do those other things. Only tricky thing is using enough wano orbs leading up to the boss, so attack with type effective units but not too much to stall.

You could also go free spirit with Sabo/koala, garp, and Luffy ace which would give attack, orb, matching, color affinity, and chain lock.

Ideally this helps though I may just be saying stuff you already know, sorry if that’s the case.

What content do you want to clear? Teams are very dependent on the content you want to clear.

It might be worth it for you to try and get a re-roll account with Roger from this sugfest. It is a really good one for restarting on.

For defense it's probably fine. People have a higher chance of attacking teams without subs, but they'll probably avoid you anyway with a line up like that.

Do you have any of the other prominent slashers? It'd be a good move to add them and put whitebeard on as a sub. Like if you have Carrot or Kizaru you could add one and move whitebeard to the bench and then add the other and take off Rayleigh. He's really good, but you lose some chance at more synergy with him on. The best possible unit to add though would be V3 Law. Him and Roger are the reason the slashers can now beat the INT team.

Hello I have been playing the game for +3 years but never got too deep in teambuilding and all. I usually played only to collect units I like. However I am afraid on what will happen with the game from now on with the release of roger. We can't be sure of that for now. Regarding Global there won't be any content in the near future which is build around Roger, because we follow content releases of Japan. It might be different in around 5 months when the current content from Japan hits us, but until then there will be much more other powerful units available.

Concerning team building: If you feel like a newbie after 3+ years I think this game might not be the one for you then?! Here is my progress when I make my own teams (excluding special events like TM/Kizuna/Blitz):

• chose the specific content you want to clear (start with easy content like 6-9 star quests, after you get more experience tackle higher star raids/colis, end with garp challenges)
• look for a guide which only explains the individual stage breakdown (not giving examples of any useful units/teams!)
• set yourself a goal for the content you want to clear (completly f2p, only legends, only DEX, team must include a Nami character, no supports, etc.)
• chose the captain you want to use
• chose subs/supports which help you clear certain debuffs/apply certain buffs to your crew
  • next to the in game filters, I strongly advice you to use http://optc-db.github.io/ for finding characters you'll need for the quest and to calculate your damage output before wasting stamina
• build different teams for the same content so you get a feeling of which units work well together
• rinse and repeat.

imo pr wb and v1 wb are way way way better wbs in pr. pudding on the other hand helps literally every int unit. filling % of charge bar is such a good pr skill. pudding is way more unique in pve too. imo 100% pudding if you really need to buy something. you could wait tho.

You have to pay gems in order to play them. But it’s just 2 iirc, so not a big deal. But make sure you have time and stamina to farm the island because after 24h you have to pay again if you’re still missing skulls

Brand new player here. I rerolled for the brand new Gol D. Roger from the part 1 super sugo-fest since I assume he’s really good. Got him, another sugofest version of him, and Germa Kingdom Sanji in my first multi. Should I continue rolling in the Roger banner til the 4th step or should I roll in the Oden banner? Or is the rookies-only banner any good? (In most gacha games the answer is usually no, but given how you’re guaranteed limited Sugo-fest exclusives, I just want to be sure). I’m aware of the standard Reroll procedure and made sure to start with Luffy/Law and will reroll the 10x straw hats until I get 4th gear luffy.

Rookies-Only banner used to be really good but they never updated it so I really wouldn't recommend wasting your gems there. I'd recommend doing your pulls on the Oden banner, you can get great captains such as V2 Snakeman or Bullet there + you have a chance to get Oden.

Definitely worth switching to Oden, since there are some really nice units in his part too, but also, if you manage to get him quickly & you have time to farm story more and get those 400ish gems, I would switch back to Roger's banner to try to get Shanks Crew (and I think V3 Law is also there?), he's such a good character to have in your box and i believe he works very well in a Roger team.

Hey everyone. I was just in a PR match and had a weird thing happen with WB's special. He ran up to a group of enemies, did the DEF down part of his special, then backed away without doing the damage portion. I would say that the animation didnt play, but a couple of characters had a sliver of health left.
