For the love of god... sweet mother of Jesus...
Leave this shitshow of a png-pull-simulator behind...

Honestly dude just don’t bother again, the one free to play unit you get is from a game mode, there are no more raid units, most of the 6+ skulls are locked behind kizuna tickets, there’s nothing exciting ignore the nostalgia

Play casually and forget about completing the highest difficulty levels in content as those are design with only the new batch
Ignore PvP as that is also P2W
Save gems, enjoy the freebies and have some fun during Super Sugos

Golden pound usopp + dual Marco Psy captain + Hoe ship is a super good beginner exp farm if you can do it

Any directions on how to get those?

The hoe ship can be acquired through the quest that you purchase, it's in the top left of the event screen I think. Marco is a Sugo that can be acquired through draws, and Golden Pound Usopp is a quest in the power up section

Sorry, top right. Unlockable quests. Jack and Psy Momo are also exp booster captains

Play at your own pace and don't let it turn into a second job.

Started an account 1 day before the Anni Sugo. Have played and quit about 5 other times because of crushing drop rates... Cannot confirm but in theory i used the Rookie Luck+Anni Luck+Super Sugo Luck+Gem Package Luck(I've played five different times i guess i'll support) and cleaned house. Got 4 out of 5 Super Sugos. Tons of other characters. If your roll sucks just reinstall before New Years and try again.

Save your free level up stuff and limit break stuff etc after you've done a decent amount of pulls and satisfied with the units you got.

Just know that this game has become VERY P2W a few years ago, and most newer players will absolutely struggle to catch up. But try not to stress too much about it tho. Take your time with it.
Do make as much as you can out of that Beginner Sugo-fest, cuz all the units you pull from it have MAX. specials and powers, and MAX. rumble abilities (if they have rumble abilities). We have like so many legends in this game lol, but a few of them to look out for when pulling: 》Robin/Jinbe (6-turn rainbow shield/threshold/ATK-Down reduction, and 2-turn special reverse)
》DEX Hiyori (full board of [WANO] orbs, healing, and 7-turn bind/despair reduction)
》PSY Roger: (he's outdated, but he completely removes despair and once every quest, he nullifies Remove Beneficial Effects. His Super Type isn't bad either, full board matching orbs through [BLOCK] and reduce 1 turn special cooldown)
》INT Uta: (Turn Progress Effect: so like when you use it, she gives you an ATK and orb boost that can last through 3 stages, and they boost more when you move on to a stage. Also, she has 10-turn paralysis/special reverse reduction in her CA) {idk if she's in the beginner sugofest, but she'll be in any other super sugofest}
Pirate Rumble is the PVP mode and it plays pretty differently than other modes. The game will tell you about it, but generally speaking, the best teams right now are like Slashers, Free Spirit, DEX, and PSY. And if you do the panel missions, you'll get a full PSY team for free (i think you get like 3 free legends from that), and they're not a bad team.
If you don't mind rerolling, aim to get G5 Luffy from the beginner sugofest. You'll benefit a lot from his captain ability: the 10-turn bind/special reverse reduction, free revive, and bypassing barriers and defensive effects. And if you can, get his 6+ too. While lacking utility, he's much stronger and is pretty good for Rumble, for Free Spirit teams.
Otherwise, the free PSY Straw Hat units you get from doing missions can suffice. There's a thing called LLB (Level Limit Break) that can buff some units to become better than they are at first. The PSY Straw Hat units you get will have LLB buffs and the 5+ PSY Luffy (that you evolve from PKA) is super good with LLB.
(EDIT): oh, and if you go to the rayleigh bazaar, you'll see the "trade items with rainbow gems" option. DO NOT ever tap on that. None of the items offered are worth spending 10-30 gems over them.
