My friend finally went for it and started watching One Piece. She's loving it! She's about to get to Sabaody Archipelago. Really wants to go to Fishman Island (kinda feel bad. Lol) The last thing I told her before heading to bed was "Have fun at Sabaody Archipelago."

Found these thick books at 7-11 that were bound but when i peeked in they were all comic panels. I was curious if these were just recaps of their stories or if they went into further detail or never seen before material. Can’t imagine it would be anything beyond summary but was just curious if anyone has read or could recommend. Thanks :~)

I've been watching one piece for a while and I'm on episode 940 and yet to see a clairnet mabey I missed it but o don't think there is a clairnet in one piece and it makes me sad

1. Characters now are now caricatures of their main emotions e.g. usopp was always cowardly, but now it’s his only emotion basically
2. Most of the crew doesn’t get much combat, they’ll relegate chopper, usopp, franky, and brook to these fucking stupid side quests, where they’ll do one thing over the course of 30 episodes.
3. I’m pissed about the chracter tweaks after the time skip, i’m white, but i enjoyed the variety in the crew, they’re all white af now. Nami and rogin got done so dirty.
4. Fights were always long, but they’re even longer now.

I am aware there’s a plethora of things that have gotten better with modern onepiece, but i find the modern one piece keeps me less drawn in with wonder

but as much as I was so shocked at Zoro's sacrifice, I was equally or all the more shocked at how much Luffy had suffered that just a small taste was enough to gutpunch Zoro that time. The sheer amount of pain and suffering Luffy endured was really impactful to me and elevated my view of Luffy when I saw this scene. I dunno, I just don't see others magnifying Luffy same as how Zoro was magnified here. But HUGE props to Zoro for doing this WILLINGLY. Still one of the best moments in One Piece fr.

I personally think he will come back and be completly different because he lost everything.
