Theory Did anyone notice?
While Luffy is in Gear 5, his waistband thingy turns purple. However, the band the straw hat stays red. After noticing this, I’ve been wondering. Since, awakened Zoan fruits tend to make the user lose themselves. Is it Luffy keeping himself, or is the giant straw hat somehow connected to JoyBoy? Would that make Luffy’s stay the same? If JoyBoy sees Luffy’s, or rather, Shanks’ hat as one and the same.

Do, I wanted yo ask this because after getting to Thriller Bark, I found out that putting salt in zombies mouths disables morias power over the shadow. Is there any other use of aalt that could, even temporarily, disable someones devil fruit powers?

Discussion If Sabo really was dead and Luffy ended up winning the Mera Mera no Mi in Dressrosa, who do you think he would’ve given it to?
Obviously, he couldn't eat it himself since he already has a devil fruit, and he likewise couldn't give it to Brook, Chopper, Robin, Kinemon, or Momonosuke (and by this point in the story, I'm not sure he would even consider either of his passengers from Wano worthy of inheriting his brother's will). It's unlikely that Franky would've eaten it since he said as much before the tournament, stating that he wouldn't want to lose his ability to swim. Sanji also said something to that effect in Thriller Bark, stating that he wouldn't eat a devil fruit with the exception of the clear clear fruit. This basically just leaves Usopp, Zoro, and Nami, or someone could pull a Funkfreed and give the fruit to one of their weapons (though I'm not sure if that's a process restricted to Zoans, since we've only seen Zoan fruits used for that thus far). What do you guys think Luffy would do with the fruit if he won it?

Discussion Were the inconsistencies in chapter 1127 actually not on purpose?
With the 2 chapters releasing afterwards it really doesn't seem like there's any sort of weird shenanigans going on with the whole blockworld situation. Everyone assumed they were on purpose because it was pretty blatant but it doesn't look like it is. Maybe Luffy really can just use partial gear 4 now like how he just started using gear 3 normally without shrinking.

I think chopper , and his devil fruit is a mystery. And blackbeards apperance in drum iland doesn't look coincidence to me. Franky, maybe a bit of backstory. Brook , could be father of kuzan ? Who do you think could have a backstory.

Discussion Could Fujitora fulfill his dream?
Luffy's power is his imagination (Nike, freedom, Joyboy etc.) so would Luffy be able to make Fujitora "see" him?
Luffy's power is stated as "only limited by their imagination".
Nike fruit behaves like 3 types in 1: Paramecia - turns his surroundings into rubber like awakened fruits, Logia - Luffy was able to make glasses out of his hair (behaves a bit like a cloud), he also "copy" Ace attack - Hiken/Fire Fist, Zoan - well, I guess I don't have to explain.
Technically if the fruit can behaves like other types, also able to behave like other fruits like Mera Mera or... Ope Ope, Luffy would just have to imagine it. I know Luffy doesn't have the medical knowledge to perform the surgery. But that's a detail. Quite important, but a details.

Theory Did i overcook? Should I take my Meds? ( Theory ) Spoiler
I had a few Thoughts about One Piece over the last few days cause afterall after 1128 Chapters I still cant wrapmy Head around the "Endgame" or final events of the series so i wanted to share my thoughts about what i came up with. And because of those thougts earlier in the day i simply just googled "luffy/neo matrix reddit" just to see if there is someting similar being chewed on and came across a post with the same picture, so i decided i might as well make this a seperate post.
After seeing one of the latest manga chapters without spoiling too much, we see a Joyboy silhouette that looks a lot like Luffy. This got me thinking a lot, and I basically came to a very similar conclusion. We know that time travel exists in this world, and from other great series or animes, we see that it’s a special tool for writers. It offers unlimited possibilities and can make some stories very choppy and confusing. But you know who could pull it off? Oda.
My initial thought was that the world of One Piece is trapped in some sort of time loop. We know about the ability to literally time travel. Okay, the Fruit can only make you jump forward in time and not back, right? Now, the last known user of the Fruit we know was Oden's wife, Kouzuki Toki. I’d argue that she wasn’t the type of person to actively train her powers like other characters in the show, meaning there could easily be an awakening of the Fruit that allows you to also go back in time.
What I propose is the following: Imu set up some sort of time loop to possibly ensure her power or ruling "forever." I suspect that in the "endgame" of One Piece, Luffy learns about this; he’s potentially even losing an arm and a leg in the fight, which is why he has a wooden leg and a hook when we see him "800 years" earlier. What I suspect is that, like I said, Luffy learns about this "time loop" and gets help from the current time travel Fruit user, who has the ability to travel back in time, or Luffy, who is currently bending reality however he likes, as I showed in the picture above, can do it easily by himself.
You can maybe get an idea now of where I'm going with this. Luffy has to travel back in the past trying to get things right, but he’s failing; we know that. He gave promises to Lily and the Fishmen and supposedly failed. We know that from the Poneglyphs. What I propose now is that everything we know from the past—the Poneglyphs, the treasure on Laugh Tale, etc.—could have been literally set up by Luffy and the crew and with all the friends he made along , potentially in the present or in the past; I’m not sure exactly about that yet. But you get what I mean? Roger potentially read about the crew's journey from the future, and they explain the sort of weird circumstances the world is in, with Roger simultaneously realizing that he can’t do anything and just starts laughing.
But like I said, "Joyboy" or Luffy failed in the past, and he died. This is why he is the Prophecy Child, after all; literally no one in the current timeline is making any major moves. Whitebeard, who is dead (I know), didn’t do much besides focus on his family, even though he had very deep and detailed conversations with Roger. Shanks is literally not doing much besides waiting for Luffy's awakening to Nika. The World Government isn’t doing much besides keeping their fake system up. Luffy is literally the biggest keystone to the big events coming up, and it is all bound by TIME.
I mean, sure, Luffy is the main character, but I think he’s drastically different in terms of morals, spirit, and charisma compared to all the other big guys we saw in the past like Noland, Oden, and Whitebeard—maybe not Roger, because they literally say similar things. This got me rolling even more. Now I think there is some sort of "spirit" that can be awakened, and it has happened many times before, for example, in Noland, in Oden, in Whitebeard, and in Roger, of course, also in Luffy. But Luffy is the one who came the closest to setting the world "free" from the time loop or "dream" while the others were struck by weird fate interventions, as we know.
And exactly these thoughts brought me to Neo and The Matrix, which is how I found the other post. I thought about that possibility out of nowhere, and funnily enough, that scene I showed in the picture also came to mind. What if the world of One Piece literally is a simulation? Maybe some of you watched Naruto; Madara wanted to trap the world and people in some kind of eternal dream where they live their "ideal" lives while being trapped in cocoons. Anyway, what if something similar happened in this world?
This might sound quite schizo to some, and I probably just daydreamed about this while lying in my bathtub, but for some reason, this makes so much sense and clicked for me. Oda is putting a lot of focus on dreams; we know now that Luffy’s dream is so special and weird that a lot of people laugh at it. Others are shocked because they were also Roger’s words and "Joyboy’s," which could be Luffy’s words all along. A lot of people have some sort of dream they follow, right? That’s the "spirit" I was talking about earlier, which is potentially manifesting in some more and in some less.
In Luffy’s case, for example, it’s about waking up from the "eternal dream." There are also a lot of "white rabbit" (Matrix comparison) moments in the series, quite early on. For example, the first time he meets Blackbeard, who literally emphasizes dreams and tells Luffy how important it is to believe in them. Well, at least you could interpret it that way, and I’m sure there are a lot of similar things and Easter eggs in the series.
Shanks, for example, knew and learned about everything after Roger died; he exactly knew Luffy’s "spawn point." He didn’t just randomly let the potentially most broken Fruit be unattended so Luffy could snack on it; he had to play his part. After all, the World Government tried their best to hide the Fruit, or the Fruit did its best, which we also don’t know if the government always had it or if the Fruit did its best to avoid being found in the first place for so long. Anyway, it ended up being eaten by Luffy.
What if the "D" stands for "dreamer" or "dreamers" or "dreaming"? I know there are a lot of theories about the "D"; it could also mean "Dawn," since there is a lot of emphasis on "Dawn," which could mean in my theory literally awakening from the dream/time loop or whatever is fitting here. Now, I’m not too sure about the outside conditions of the "base reality." Maybe "base reality" is quite similar to the world we are currently in, but without the Devil Fruits and Haki powers, which is why it makes sense that pirates are portrayed as the most "free" and "strong" people because potentially in "base reality," they’ve been exactly that: the most free.
After all, Oda took inspiration from an old Viking anime called Wickie the Viking. Maybe the "base reality" is exactly similar and played out similarly, only with the difference that Imu realized her "eternal dream time loop plan," and that’s the current objective of Luffy and the Straw Hats. I don’t know if Oda would take such a route, and this is purely speculation and, of course, only a "theory" I suppose. But it’s the best conclusion I’ve come to, really thinking about what the hell is even going on in One Piece, because we are in 1128 chapters in and don’t know much at all. Just speculations across the board and mostly "theories," I know.
But I guess that was my take on it. Not sure if similar theories are out there; I’m not sure if I cooked with this one or if I should take my schizo meds.
Let me know what you think.
I let ChatGPT go over this for grammar mistakes cause im german and it told me this atleast: Your text presents some intriguing theories about One Piece and time travel! Here’s a corrected version with spelling and grammar adjustments for clarity :D
Sidenote: could be an explanation why we didnt see Luffys Mother at all. Either cause luffy is from a different time line in the first place or he is just HIM , neo didnt have a mother also. Im also not saying that the show could be a matrix spinoff or anything , only suggesting that oda MAYBE took a bit of inspiration from it , as with many other things.

Theory A Coincidence? I don't think so
In his last dying Moments Cobra mentioned something about "Dawn" referring to the D-Members.
It has been made clear with the anime as the manga panel interestingly tries to hide it.
Now with Gear5 Luffy is naming his attacks "Dawn"
I believe D. Stands for dawn and since Zoan Devil Fruits have a mind of their own, Luffy subconsciously knows the meaning of D.
And his full name is:
Monkey Dawn Luffy!

Discussion A few questions about Armament and Supreme Haki influence on certain Devil Fruit's.
I was wondering on how certain abilities interact with Armament and Supreme Haki.
I'm going by my understanding that: Armament haki has the ability to hit the Devil Fruit user's true body, and that Supreme Haki can turn off Devil Fruit abilities, if it is strong enough.
Fruits in question:
Big Mom Homies: They exist due to the ability of the Soul Fruit. Would receiving a strong Supreme Haki blast just exorcise them?
Sugar's Toys: Same as Big Mom, but who would need to suffer the Supreme Haki blast. Would the toys transform back or just be knocked out / lose ability to move.
This question applies to all abilities that mess with your body traits, like Luffy with his rubber body. Armament Haki is used to bypass certain communities/resistances, specifically for logia types, but how does that translate to zoans and paramecias types that affect the users body. (Luffy and Buggy)
Armament Haki is show to be a must to hurt Luffy, but it isn't like rubber is immune to physical strain. There shouldn't be anything for the Armament Haki to negate in order to connect the hit.
Buggy is a bit of a weird situation for me. His body is immune to any sharp attacks. (Shown when Mihawk slashes him in half / into small strips, or when his body is pierced by spikes in Cross Guild to hold him up.) Does that mean Mihawk isn't using haki on his blade or does Buggy's passive ability of splitting isn't affected for some reason. I have a vague memory of someone saying that haki should be used on swords all the time to prevent them from getting damaged, but it might not be canon.
And finally Law's fruit. More precisely the body swapping and heart / limb removing ability.
For the body swap I'm more in favor of it being irreversible. On the other hand about body part removal. They are only alive because of Law's fruit ability. If it is stopped with Supreme Haki wouldn't their bodies just die instantly?
That's about it. I'll be thankful for anything, even if their your personal theories. :)

Discussion I find it surprising no one has any discussion on this idea. Please Humor me. Spoiler
I'm trying again because I feel like I'm into something.
Tldr: I'm trying to prove that it's possible the sun god Nika was the original source of the mother flame. I believe it's possible the original sun god Nika could have been a human flame via the hito Hito no mi in the same sense that chopper is a Human reindeer. That would mean a previous user of the hito Hito no mi was an element given life. A literal living flame.
I've provided the examples of how a zoan/malleable substance hybrid can function and some conclusions on the possible implications. For this idea to work, the hito Hito no mi model Nika would need to be based on an original Nika who was born through the hito Hito no mi being eaten by a flame. Say this original Nika helped supply limitless energy by giving off pieces of itself that would remain alive through his life span. His death could have caused a fight for energy resources. If devil fruits are manifested through desire, they could have wanted this "sun god to return" to bring back peace. Such desire could be what manifested the hito Hito no mi model Nika.
Although smiley was introduced along time ago. I never though much about the actual properties he displayed.
This first thing smiley is doing is something we have not really seen. His base body or state is pure poison gas in a gel form. He is clearly alive and sentient. But his intelligence and capacity seem to be limited to that of an animal. *side note* it would be interested if chopper could understand smiley since he's a frog. What we are seeing him do with his body here is pretty interesting. He's manifesting a cannon to shoot himself. That cannon shape is not any type of body part from the axolotl. The only logical explanation is the intelligence/sentience of the axolotl allows him to form his body into any shape. In practice, it is no different than maggellan using his brain to mold poison into the form of a dragon. Since smiley is just gel, he's capable of using his base body like a puddy.
These pages confirm a few things for us. The smiley is capable of emotion just like any other living creature. They indication of sentience on smiley is the eyes. When it splits itself into pieces, all the blob copies have eyes and are capable of thinking enough/or following orders to surrond the strawhats. Most important take away is the ability to freely multiply.
This box introduction confirms that he is gel form poison gas that ate a devil fruit. The same words ate are used to describe the vegapunk dog gun. So we can't really conclude if it's literal in the sense to consume or just the process. However we have seen poison from Magellan literally erode solid objects. So I think the more simple explanation is poison eating the fruit away is all it took. This page also confirms it is likely that while he can make copies of himself, only the main body is capable of transforming into a zoan. This blob that the axolotl shot out is still blob shape and not a mini axolotl.
Here those blobs are all capable of resolidifying and becoming the main body.
All these panels show that ceasar was recreating smiley. Although it seems like he died, I think it's entirely possibly it could have reformed if that poison mass in the middle of the cloud managed to cover the where the new axolotl apple spawned. Oda made a point of showing us the cart/boat with the apple was right on the edge of the axolotls body before he died. And at the center of the gas explosion we see poison gel is still here. It also helps my case that ceasar is talking in a way as though he expects to see smiley again.
This is another case of a zoan animating an object. Hitetsu is no scientist. Oda tells use the kettle ate the fruit. I think the most logical explanation is Hitetsu cut a fruit to try and make tea. The fire set off a *chemical reaction* to have the water act as a catalyst for the kettle to "eat" the fruit.
With all this I think it's entirely possible that the sun god was an actual being. I think he or she could have been a human flame. Now I know you will say Nika is a myth or didn't exist. But there's really nothing suggesting that other than the myth tag of the fruit.
Look at luffys Nika G5 form. Flaming hair just doesn't make any sense unless nikas hair was on fire. I know there are characters like higoro who have flame hair but he's the only one. Other than it being a pure aesthetic choice, which I doubt, the only explanation is it resembles Nika or at least the myth people had of him. This free shaping of his fireish(a mallible state) is similar to the axolotl free forming a cannon. I know not the same, but just a tad similar in concept.
This is the hito Hito no mi. We have seen a gel form poison eat a fruit. I don't think it's a stretch to think if a flame consumed athe human fruit it would become a human flame. What's a common way people could eat a mushroom? Cook it. Easy way to cook a mushroom? Throw it into a fire for a bit. I'm thinking more in line with tribe people rather than people with cookware.
Look how mother caramel tells refers to a living flame as "the sun god".
Lastly look at vegapunks motherflame recreation. It's capable of breathing/living in water despite being a flame. It had one small little eye(possibly another on the other side) just like the smiley blobs had. Indicating it's possible it's alive. How could a flame stay alive in fluid? The same way a devil fruit user can breathe underwater. Some type anatomy enabling it to be possible.
So crazy far out guess: I think vegapunk recreated the mother flame by feeding an amphibian zoan to a flame. This would explain how he's capable of keeping it submerged. It would also explain why York was able to take a piece of it that is now being used to supply energy.
Imagine if a human flame could split himself like the smiley did and each little ember could supply power in the same way a piece of the mother flame is doing for imu.
Last tidbit of what could be a hint. Chopper is for some reason being targeted by the giants who caught them. Why out chopper Ina steal collar, but not luffy?
Tldr: choppers fruit with become important.

Discussion What’s the story after 1121 episode? Spoiler
Hi guys, I watched all the 1121 episodes in one month, almost went blind and my head hurts as fuck to be honest. I am wondering if someone who reads manga can explain what’s going to happen next in the story? Don’t worry about spoilers as I will watch anyway. One thing that I was shocked honestly is when Ace died as I didn’t see that coming at all.
