I did watch some of it about 150 episodes, but it didn't really click with me. But I might give the manga a try in the future, though

Give it another shot with the One Pace version. It's a well edited version that cuts out about a 3rd or more of the show to pace it more like the Manga.
They've gotten really good at it and even re-edited their previous work, so it's pretty much seamless! Sometimes it combines even 3 episodes into 1, and it skips all filler arcs. So it would take you only say, 100 episodes to get to 300+ in the actual episode numbers.

I did at first, but she ended up my favorite from Thriller Bark. Well, after Brook. Outside his panty joke, he's awesome, and his English VA is killing it! So much better (IMO) than the original.
