His heart has stopped, but his brain in Punk Records should still be very much active, so long as it’s not destroyed in the ensuing chaos.

This is actually a good point. The main purpose of your heart is to provide blood to your brain; does Vegapunk even need a heart?

well, where does the df live? brain, heart? what if a df user lost an arm and their power went with it?

in fact, that was shanks gambit all along. he had a df in chapter 1 but intentionally used his red haki to isolate it in his arm and feed it to the lord of the coast so that he would regain the ability to swim and save luffy

His satellites are still alive too, at least a few of them. I wonder if they could reverse engineer him a body again somehow.

Very interesting that we didn't see a single VP Satellite in this chapter. We have NO IDEA what their status is right now.

We see in this chap: Atlas with franky headed for the giants ship Edison with nami and Usopp

And Lilith is presumably still with brook on the sunny.

Edison is with Usopp's group, while York is still chained to the ground. Whatever happens to York, I hope that bitch receive a brutal suffering. York won't be missed, now that she lost everything.

Clinically, yeah. Though knowing Oda, I won't be surprised if he's brought back. Unless he decided to commit going all out, like with the 5 Eldars.
